Photographs from walk:
I think that in each of these photographs they all have a main focal point that can be acknowledged as extraordinary in its own right. All images were edited with the app Afterlight and used the filter Relic.
- The first image of a bush with a can of Fosters resting on one of the branches, is more or less quite a common sight when walking in the woods anywhere you go on this present day. It is the 'norm' for teenagers to hide in bushes with their friends drinking cheap alcohol most weekends, such as the can of lager shown below. Even though it is a common occurrence, I still find it unique that adolescents get a thrill from doing this, trying to not get caught by the Street Wardens, yet still leave evidence for them to find and still carry on the Saturday after doing the same thing.
- The second photograph of the main subject of the Conker presents to me the extraordinary cycle of life that nature has on certain plants and tree's during the course of just a year. During that time the tree grows these usual spikey balls that grow off the branches that holds a nut that we call 'Conkers', that then drop from the tree and crack open to present a nut it had been holding on to for how ever many months.
- I have used the third image because I admire the shape of the tree that is shown in the grey sky. I find it interesting how shape and texture can define things and make them look more peculiar, making you want to look closer.
- The last photograph presents how I personally think that how the way flowers and plants move depending on the light is rather bizarre. I would consider it to be more on the still life side if it was going to be editorial photography. I think the colours jump out and make yourself focus on the flower straight away. The details of the plant and the leaves and branches also make the photograph more usual to myself and make me want to look closer.
